Position Summary
The IT Intern will provide administrative and technical support to the Information Technology organization while gaining hands-on experience across Service Desk, Networking, and Server Operations teams. This role offers exposure to a broad range of IT functions, including end-user support, infrastructure support, asset management, shipping and receiving, and systems administration activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Service Desk team by assisting with ticket intake, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Provide administrative and technical support for IT operations and projects.
  • Assist Networking and Server teams with routine tasks, documentation, equipment deployment, and infrastructure support activities.
  • Help configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist with user account administration, password resets, and onboarding/offboarding activities.
  • Support inventory management, asset tracking, hardware staging, and equipment audits.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, mailing, and distribution of IT hardware and technology assets.
  • Help document technical procedures, standards, and support processes.
  • Participate in workstation setup, relocation, and technology refresh projects.
  • Gain exposure to enterprise systems, networking technologies, server environments, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT staff across multiple disciplines to support business operations and end-user needs.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Networking, or a related field.
  • Interest in Service Desk operations, Networking, Server Administration, and IT Infrastructure.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office, and computer hardware.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
