Lyle Machinery Co. is a diversified equipment dealer in the southeast. For over 35 years, we have operated on the shared-value system, to perform service and repairs, both on-site and in the field, in addition to sales, leases and rentals of heavy and compact equipment.

We offer the best products, knowledge, support and service to our customers in heavy/compact construction, forestry, material handling, asphalt, concrete, pipeline, and scrap industries. Not only do we maintain a robust inventory of parts and equipment, but we also have a large variety of rental units available for those last-minute needs.

Duties: As a Service Admin (Industry-specific), your primary responsibility will be supporting our technicians in the shop and branch manager. This is NOT a general clerical position. General knowledge of work order systems for service in Automotive, Construction, Agricultural, and/or Utility experience is required.

Duties:ย 

  • Maintaining and monitoring detailed records of life cycles of the repair orders, and other required data, including but not limited to, DOT requirements, payroll information, and asset service records
  • Follow up with other inter-company departments on open issues
  • Supervision of the opening, updating, and closing of work orders
  • Verification and processing of invoices
  • Requiredย reporting for budgetary issues
  • Prepareย service department correspondence as directed by Service Manager
  • Orderingย and maintaining needed shop and field service supplies
  • Otherย tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

Requirements:ย 

  • High school degree or GED equivalent; Associate's degree preferredย 
  • Three (3) years industry or equivalent preferred (industrial, agricultural, orย heavy equipment)
  • Ability to learn machine specific functions and needs
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail conducive to multi-tasking.ย 
  • Must be goal-oriented, work well with others, and adaptable to execute variousย tasks, daily
  • Must beย able to report to work as scheduled every day
  • Someย weekend work and/or overtime, as necessary
