Job Summary

As a Service Account Manager at John W. Danforth Company, you will serve as a key liaison between customers and internal teams, driving account success and long-term partnerships. In this role, you will manage client relationships, lead contract negotiations, develop and deliver accurate quotes, provide technical guidance, and coordinate the resources needed to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, delivering responsive, tailored HVAC solutions. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cross-selling and upselling within the existing client base, and support contract renewals. Prepare and present accurate, competitive quotes and proposals to clients. Collaborate with sales and internal teams to ensure successful service delivery and support strategic marketing initiatives. Provide up-to-date technical guidance on HVAC systems and assist in resolving issues as they arise. Prepare reports, billing, and required documentation in accordance with contract terms, company policies, and industry standards. Monitor account performance, including customer retention, financial results, and pull-through work, ensuring alignment with company goals. Maintain accurate and organized client records, including sales activity, communications, and project details.

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant experience in the HVAC industry required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Demonstrated experience in the HVAC industry, including the ability to quote repairs and replacements; prior field technician experience strongly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both verbally and in writing. Detail-oriented and results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams. Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support clients, coordinate teams, and manage vendors across multiple markets.
