Job Summary
The Back Server is a key support role responsible for ensuring a seamless and elevated dining experience by working closely with an assigned Server or section. This position serves as the primary table assistant, helping execute service with precision and consistency. This role focuses on maintaining table readiness, delivering beverages, supporting guest communication, and anticipating guest needs to ensure every detail of service is handled efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support Servers with guest greetings and providing a warm, welcoming experience, ensuring smooth communication and team coordination.
  • Execute beverage service, including pouring, refilling, and maintaining appropriate water levels
  • Prepare tables for each course by resetting silverware, plates, linens, and service items, ensuring a clean and polished appearance.
  • Maintain table cleanliness by promptly removing unused dishes, glassware, and debris, ensuring a tidy appearance throughout service.
  • Deliver beverages from the service bar to guests.
  • Review printed tickets or service information to anticipate upcoming courses and needs
  • Communicate clearly and effectively between guests, Servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and a positive dining experience.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain side stations to support service flow and readiness for the team.
  • Assist with suggesting food and beverage options and relay guest requests to the Server
  • Stay present within the assigned section , ensuring continuous service and coordinating with the Server to cover all guest needs.

Qualifications
  • Strong multitasking skills with a dependable and service focused work ethic
  • Ability to anticipate guest and operational needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for the duration of assigned shifts and lift up to 35 pounds
  • Previous experience in fine dining or full-service restaurant environment preferred
