Description:

The Front Server acts as the link between our restaurant culture and our guests, representing M&F as a top destination for coffee and Latin American cuisine. This role requires strong communication, professionalism, and a strategic approach. Building lasting relationships with both guests and staff is key to our success. A caring attitude and genuine courtesy are essential. Professionalism and efficiency should always be maintained. Below are the duties you can expect as a Front Server, which include, but are not limited to:

  •  Effective communication skills, verbal and written
  •  Ability to maintain composure and stay focused while strictly following the guidelines of
  •  Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  •  Ability to work as a team, stay organized, handle various tasks at one time
  •  Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers
  •  Professional presentation and positive attitude
  •  Responsible for exceeding guests’ expectations by providing efficient, friendly guest service.
  •  Teamwork, enthusiasm, a high energy level, food and wine knowledge and ability to multi-task are necessary for success in this position.
  •  Be able to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
  •  Be genuinely committed to ensuring that the overall guest experience exceeds expectations, including greeting guests with a warm, sincere smile and anticipating guest needs
  •  Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
  •  Assist with Front of House operations to ensure we are guest ready at all times (pre-bussing, resetting tables during and after the Guest's dining experience, washing glassware, stocking ice, taking out lines and trash, etc.).
  •  Support fellow servers and service staff with refills and clearing tables and provide guests with beverage service as well as maintaining cleanliness in common areas of the restaurant.
  •  Respond appropriately and genuinely to all guest requests and communicate those requests to the server or manager.
  •  Clear and reset tables within established standard timings and guidelines in a professional and effective manner
  •  Clean service stations, fill ice bins and restock storage
  •  Assist with set up and breakdown of dining room facilities.
  •  Polish utensils/glassware and store equipment as designated.
  •  Assist with training of new staff.


Requirements:

The Front Server is required to invest the time necessary to produce exceptional results. This position will also have a rotating irregular schedule including weekends, holidays and frequently a 4-5-day work week full time and 2-3 for part time (depending on availability and business needs).

Must be at least 21 years old.

Must have valid TAM and Health Card.

Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
