These roles are crucial for personnel who may face capture or isolation in combat zones. SERE instructors often have extensive survival training and experience in demanding conditions.

What is a SERE in the military?

A SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape) specialist in the military is trained to teach personnel survival skills, evasion techniques, resistance to interrogation, and escape methods in hostile environments. SERE professionals may work in training environments or support operational units requiring specialized survival expertise.
