About Fulfillment IQ (FIQ):

Fulfillment IQ is a supply chain engineering and transformation company that helps brands, retailers, and 3PLs design, build, and scale high-performance logistics operations.

We work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and technology where we solve complex, real-world problems across warehouse design, automation, order management, transportation, and end-to-end supply chain execution.

Our teams combine deep domain expertise with strong technical capability, delivering outcomes through consulting, systems implementation, and proprietary platforms that accelerate time-to-value and reduce delivery risk.

If you enjoy working in complex environments, partnering closely with clients, and seeing your work make a tangible impact on how global commerce moves, this is the place where your skills and judgment truly come to life.

Role Overview:

This role supports a client engagement with a leading MHE (Material Handling Equipment) provider. The primary focus is supporting WCS (Warehouse Control System) integration between WMS platforms and third-party robotics systems (e.g., goods-to-person, put walls, conveyor/sortation, ASRS), working alongside a Lead Consultant on the account.

You'll work with mid-sized clients (not large enterprise accounts) across the East Coast, partnering closely with local, onshore development teams and, in many cases, international robotics vendor teams based in Asia or Europe. This is a hybrid functional/technical seat where you'll build depth across both the WMS and the automation/integration side of the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support WMS-to-robotics integration work, including goods-to-person, conveyor/sortation, ASRS, and put-to-light/pick-to-light systems, under the guidance of the account's Lead Consultant.
  • Analyze business, functional, and integration requirements to support effective WMS/WCS solution design.
  • Configure core WMS modules (Inbound, Outbound, Inventory, Returns, Picking, Shipping) as part of broader automation integration work.
  • Troubleshoot MHE messaging issues: tracing an unprocessed or failed message back to its source job/process, determining severity and impact, and driving resolution.
  • Support technical determinations for endpoints, ports, and message formats as part of integration setup and troubleshooting.
  • Write, review, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures (e.g., Oracle, MSSQL) to support inventory adjustments, order-header updates, and wave/allocation logic, particularly in QA and production troubleshooting scenarios.
  • Support clients and stakeholders during SIT, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live phases, including onsite troubleshooting alongside client product managers.
  • Participate in issue/bridge calls during critical incidents, helping present root-cause findings to client stakeholders.
  • Help identify and communicate MVP scope when a client requests a late-breaking change close to go-live.
  • Collaborate with local, onshore developers as well as international robotics vendor teams.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation: design docs, technical specifications, test plans, runbooks, and configuration records.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in WMS implementations or supply chain execution systems, ideally including exposure to at least one full end-to-end implementation or go-live.
  • Techno-functional background, comfortable operating as a bridge between business/operations and IT, rather than a purely functional or purely developer profile.
  • Some exposure to WMS integration with MHE/automation systems, robotics platforms (e.g., Geek+, Locus Robotics, Exotec, or comparable), conveyor/sortation, or ASRS is strongly preferred.
  • Working proficiency in SQL, able to write and troubleshoot stored procedures, joins, and updates directly (not just read or review), on Oracle, MSSQL, or a comparable platform.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse workflows: receiving, put-away, wave/allocation logic, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
  • Familiarity with put-to-light and pick-to-light systems, and general comfort with warehouse floor hardware (RF guns, printers, label formats) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot MHE messaging issues methodically, tracing problems back to source rather than reacting to symptoms alone.
  • Comfortable working directly with client stakeholders, including during go-lives and live troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable with 50-75% travel, including occasional weekend work during go-live windows.
  • Ability to work effectively with both local, onshore teams and international, offshore robotics vendor teams.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

  • Direct experience with Hy-Tek Intralogistics or their proprietary WMS (IntraOne).
  • Direct experience with Geek+, Locus Robotics, or Exotec specifically.
  • Exposure to OMS, TMS, or EDI messaging standards.
  • Experience in Agile/DevOps environments.

What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days

30 Days:

  • Complete onboarding on Hy-Tek's engagement model, current client projects, and FIQ's tools (SQL environments, API testing, ticketing/documentation systems)
  • Shadow the Lead Consultant and existing team members on active WMS-to-robotics integration work to understand current message flows, integration points, and troubleshooting patterns
  • Get familiar with the specific robotics platforms in use on assigned client projects (e.g., Geek+, Locus, Exotec, or conveyor/ASRS systems)

60 Days:

  • Begin independently handling MHE message troubleshooting and root-cause investigation on assigned client projects
  • Contribute directly to SQL-based inventory adjustments, order-header updates, and stored procedure work in QA/production environments
  • Participate actively in client-facing calls (SIT/UAT support, issue/bridge calls) alongside the Lead Consultant

90 Days:

  • Independently own day-to-day WMS/WCS support and troubleshooting for at least one client engagement
  • Demonstrate reliable, root-cause-level resolution of MHE integration issues with minimal escalation to the Lead Consultant
  • Build working familiarity with both onshore development teams and offshore robotics vendor teams, contributing smoothly to cross-team coordination

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Customer Success: Requirements captured accurately; high client satisfaction; successful go-live and post-go-live support.
  • Integration Quality: WMS-to-robotics integrations function reliably, with issues traced to root cause and resolved durably rather than patched.
  • Delivery Discipline: Clear, proactive communication on scope/schedule risk, with MVP boundaries respected near go live.
  • Collaboration: Effective, positive working relationships with both local development teams and international robotics vendor teams.
  • Documentation Quality: Design docs, technical specs, and runbooks are complete, clear, and actionable.
