Position Overview
Teton Trust Company is seeking an experienced and accomplished Senior Trust Officer to join its Jackson, Wyoming office. The Senior Trust Officer will lead a team of trust officers, manage a complex portfolio of trust accounts, and serve as a senior relationship manager for high-net-worth clients and their advisors. This is a leadership role requiring expertise in trust administration, sound fiduciary judgment, and the ability to mentor junior staff while managing sophisticated client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the senior relationship manager of a portfolio of complex trust accounts in accordance with applicable Wyoming regulations and statutes, governing documents, and TTC’s internal policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of trust officers providing guidance on complex trust administration matters and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex or sensitive trust matters requiring senior judgment.
  • Collaborate closely with clients’ attorneys, accountants, investment advisors, and family office professionals to address complex planning and administrative needs.
  • Exercise sound fiduciary discretion in evaluating and authorizing trust distributions, asset transactions, and administrative actions.
  • Assist in onboarding new team members and contribute to training programs aligned with TTC’s fiduciary standards.
  • Oversee periodic trust reviews to ensure ongoing compliance, appropriate asset allocation, and alignment with beneficiary needs and trust purposes.
  • Maintain meticulous records of trust activities, correspondence, distributions, and financial transactions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, law, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in trust administration or a related field
  • Experience in a supervisory or senior individual contributor capacity (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a proven ability to think critically and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with sophisticated clients and their advisors.
  • High degree of professional judgment, discretion, and ethical standards.
