Summary / objective of position:
This position will be located in Cleveland or Cincinnati. location is TBD. Support Trust Officers in administration of JTC accounts in compliance with governing documents, fiduciary standards, and applicable laws. Assisting Trust Officers in managing JTC accounts in accordance with established policies and procedures. Collaborate with Portfolio Manager (PM) Groups to ensure operational excellence and exceptional client service.
Essential functions of position:
  • Assist Trust Officers with providing professional service through timely satisfaction of client needs, and the fulfillment of JTC's fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Assist Trust Officers in identifying, analyzing and resolving issues arising in the course of account administration and recommend solutions to Trust Officers, as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with all internal policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Independently manage workflows using checklists and/or proven procedures.
  • Independently manage tasks such as ticklers, spreadsheet tracking, electronic file upkeep, etc.
  • Independently process financial transactions such as bill payment, check requests, ACH, internal transfers, and wire transfers.
  • Establish, maintain, and terminate trust accounts on custodial, trust accounting, and other systems.
  • Assist Trust Officers with compiling and organizing tax information to provide to CPAs and ensure the timely filing of tax returns and tax payments.
  • Gather and compile information from various sources to prepare reports.
  • Assist with a variety of trust-related projects.

Preferred education and experience:
  • BBA/BS degree, or 4+ years of relevant, equivalent work experience."
  • Bank or trust experience is not required. Attractive candidates will have experience and success in roles that require critical thinking skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, and curiosity.
  • Understanding of the fiduciary responsibility to safeguard confidential financial and personal information with professional integrity.
  • Willingness and desire to learn and grow in role.
  • Independent/self-starter with the ability to prioritize a large workload for multiple Trust Officers.
  • Ability to own and manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Possess excellent problem solving and follow up skills.
  • Computer proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly relational and easy to work with.
