Job description

Hybrid’s full-service apparel design and manufacturing expertise extends across the apparel category, including knits, woven tops, bottoms, tees, and accessories.

What is my role?

This role supports the Kids Technical Design team in daily development and production tasks, with guidance from the Senior Technical Designer.

What You'll Do

  • Log in daily sample receipts and maintain the sample log for the team
  • Prepare samples for fittings by measuring fit and pre-production samples for accuracy against specs and photographing them on the form for each Technical Designer and private label customers.
  • Support low-touch accounts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to release tech packs for production POs
  • Document fit comments and construction notes for reorder body approvals, referencing previous season samples against new submissions, with guidance from the Sr. Technical Designer
  • Assist in creating initial tech packs for new development styles, using block bodies as a starting point and following team direction
  • Communicate approvals and updates for reorder bodies to the factory
  • Create technical construction pages on Adobe Illustrator for each style, under direction from the Sr. Technical Designer
  • Organize and track sample submissions as needed across all stages of development and production.
  • Attend development and production meetings as needed.
  • Request pattern creation from our pattern making team.

What You'll Need

  • Fashion AA degree or Certification preferred
  • Basic technical sketching with illustrator and Excel
  • 1-3 years’ experience in technical design, fitting and spec packages.
  • Understanding of product engineering and manufacturing process
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within business partner environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent computer skills including Adobe Illustrator & MS Office Suite
