 What You Will Do:

  • Create or revise technical drawings and diagrams for aircraft manuals, maintenance guides, and engineering documents repair technical publications
  • Work directly with technical writers who will provide revision markups, request new illustrations, and perform initial review of work
  • Collaborating with engineers, designers, and technical writers to ensure illustrations meet operational and safety requirements
  • These illustrations must meet commercial, military, and aerospace documentation standards, align with industry requirements, project schedules, and quality expectations

What You Will Bring:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in technical illustration, graphic design, engineering technology or related field plus minimum of 10 years' experience developing Aviation related illustrations for technical publications (Depot, Intermediate, and Operator level maintenance)
  • Proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Arbortext ISO Draw, AutoCAD, Corel Draw, and/or NX
  • Experience with compliance with all commercial, military, and aerospace requirements, quality and standards such as ATA-100, iSpec ATA-2200, S1000D, MIL-STD-38784, MIL-STD-40051
  • High predisposition for teamwork, primarily within the client's environment

Pay Range: $31.00/hour - $36.00/hour


Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.


Work Requirements: This role is considered an on-site position located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. 
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Travel Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required.
