We manage the delivery of tens of millions of products every week to Amazon's customers, achieving on-time delivery in a cost-effective manner to deliver a smile for our customers.
Amazon Logistics is looking for a Principal Program Manager to lead AMZL-wide strategy and business planning in support of AMZL projects, products and workstreams. This role will act as the strategic partners for senior leaders across the organization. The Principal Program Manager will work closely with the PMO team to support the business review cadence, OP1/OP2, and drive the alignment across teams

They will also partner closely with key stakeholders teams and Operations Leadership, while also maintaining critical partnership with global teams to share and adopt best practices.
The Principal Program Manager will utilize advanced business and technical writing skills, program management background combined with a fluent understanding of current technologies and operations. They can develop and drive strategic initiatives and can also roll up their sleeves, dig in and get the job done. The candidate will need to be comfortable with high velocity business judgment, ability to influence cross-functional and remote teams, a customer-centric and creative mindset and advanced analytical skills are essential

This opportunity requires excellent program management, prioritization, and communication skills, as well as the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Key job responsibilities
Effective business writing: writing white papers or technical documents to justify why new ideas should be implemented and communicate business reviews to senior leaders.
Executive communication
Gathering and understanding data requirements, working with the team to achieve high quality data insights
Thinking big by developing and nurturing new ideas, while simultaneously applying high standards to weed out ideas that are less impactful
Collaborating and influencing team members, working with development teams and other business groups, and presenting projects to senior leadership on a regular basis
Mentor other program managers on the team to drive best practices across the org and teams
Partnering to build and execute on new initiatives and product roadmaps each year
Compiling, managing, and reporting on project metrics and being responsible for leading many high profile meetings to align on project requirements
Building relationships and identifying with stakeholders across the organization
Having the technical aptitude to quickly grasp complex technical issues and communicate directly with technical teams
Understanding how to thrive in ambiguous environments and lead other teams without line of sight to a clear solution in the short term
About the team
Business Intelligence and Analytics (BI&A) for Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is responsible for driving metrics WW parity across NA, EU and Japan. In addition, this team supports the Planning and Execution Organization to get insights on Operations and focus on Impactful areas. Providing Insights is critical in today's world where the is abundance of metrics and data available
