Job description

Sr Tableau Developer

Global Financial Firm located in Irving, TX has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Sr Tableau Developer Pay Rate: $50- $60 per hour Location: Irving, TX Work Mode: Hybrid This is a contract role.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions.
  • Hands-on with Tableau Desktop for dashboard creation, report authoring and troubleshooting, and data source management.
  • Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
  • Optimize SQL queries for maximum efficiency and performance.
  • Review and improve existing systems and collaborate with teams to integrate new systems.
  • Conduct unit tests and develop database queries to analyze and troubleshoot issues.
  • Create visualizations for data extracted using Tableau.
  • Manage Tableau Server and Administration on Linux Server, including server upgrades/installation.
  • Identify key areas of automation to streamline business processes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise BI development.
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with Tableau.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Sybase, and MongoDB, and managing unstructured data.
  • Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
  • Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with analytics using Big Data is a plus.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with TabPy and Data Management Addon is a plus.
  • Experience working within an Agile development methodology is a plus.
