Job Summary

CRH is looking for a Tableau Analyst. The role is situated within the Intelligence Digital Products team whose objective is to develop a capability to systematically explore and understand future trends that will impact the construction industry and to identify opportunities for CRH to create value therein. The team will leverage internal and external news, information, data, and project work to perform deep dives into areas of interest and create new plausible future scenarios for CRH. The teams’ aspiration is to support fact-based discussions to improve the decision-making process, with a clear focus on understanding threats and potential opportunities for CRH and the construction industry. The Intelligence Digital Products team sits within the Strategy function. It is a high performing, fast paced enjoyable environment that places a strong focus on professional development.

This role is based at our corporate office in the Perimeter area of Atlanta, GA – hybrid work schedule

Job Responsibilities

  • Help to build cutting edge analytics capabilities for strategic data at CRH
  • Engage collaboratively with Business Analysts and stakeholders to identify and refine business requirements and turn them into sophisticated and fine-tuned Tableau-based solutions
  • Create and deliver advanced Tableau visualizations, reports, dashboards
  • Perform testing, engage in data analysis and quality assurance, data modelling, and data profiling
  • Collaborate with the Backend team, Data Architect on data modelling and data warehouse design considerations
  • Utilize SQL for Data Analytics and Snowflake
  • Uphold standards for data integrity, consistency, and security
  • Actively contribute to the enhancement and application of visualization design principles and standards

Job Requirements

  • Advanced Tableau (with certifications and/or willingness to complete formal training a plus)
  • Demonstrate understanding and application of best practices and methodologies, or equivalent, such as:
  • Report Design and Data visualization
  • Experience in performance optimization, system tuning and design and build best practices
  • If necessary, be able to craft SQL queries for Data Profiling/ETL/ELT
  • Commitment to staying up to date on the latest developments in the Tableau ecosystem.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum projects
  • Prior experience with Snowflake is a plus
  • Knowledge in advanced analysis with Python or R is an advantage
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative; comfortable working in a demanding fast- paced environment
  • Ability to multitask within tight deadlines
  • Third level degree, post graduate qualification or equivalent in Business, Finance, STEM or Data Analytics
  • A minimum of 3+ years, of working in data and business intelligence
  • Highly proficient in business intelligence tools such as Tableau, PowerBI
  • Understanding of Big data and data cloud-solutions, preferably Azure and Snowflake
  • Working outside office hours should not be a problem, since working with a distributed team
  • Experience working in a multinational environment is a bonus
  • Fluent in English
