The ideal candidate will have extensive SQL development experience, a strong understanding of data modeling and automation, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across finance, operations, engineering, and IT.

Job Description
The Senior SQL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing SQL-based reporting and analytics solutions that support profitability analysis and financial decision-making. This role will work closely with business stakeholders to automate manual reporting processes, improve data accessibility, and develop scalable data integration workflows.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and reporting datasets.
  • Build and enhance profitability reporting solutions utilizing data extracted from manufacturing ERP systems.
  • Develop automated processes that replace manual financial reporting and allocation activities.
  • Extract, transform, and manipulate large volumes of operational and financial data.
  • Create reporting solutions that provide profitability visibility by:
    • Customer
    • Part Number
    • Manufacturing Facility
  • Integrate, maintain, and manage financial allocation tables supplied by finance stakeholders.
  • Develop scripting and data movement processes using Python, Spark, R, or similar technologies.
  • Support data integration workflows utilizing Azure Data Factory, SQL Server Agent, and related tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, IT, and finance.
  • Document development activities, business logic, technical specifications, and data flows to support long-term maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality, reporting, and system-related issues.
  • Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of professional experience in SQL development and programming.
  • Advanced SQL Server development expertise, including:
    • Complex query development
    • Stored procedure creation and maintenance
    • Performance tuning and optimization
    • Data transformation and processing
  • Experience developing reporting and analytics solutions from enterprise data sources.
  • Experience using Python and Spark technologies for scripting, automation, and large-scale data manipulation.
  • Experience working with manufacturing ERP systems and operational reporting environments.
  • Strong understanding of relational database design, data modeling, and database architecture.
  • Experience working with large datasets and implementing automated data processing solutions.
  • Experience supporting finance, costing, profitability reporting, or related business functions.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
