As Sr Product Director of Software, you will support InVue’s mission to improve operations and customer experience for the world’s most valuable brands, by championing best-in-class software solutions and a strategy to accelerate retail software adoption and recurring software revenue.
Reporting to the EVP of Software Solutions, you will collaborate with new and existing retail customers, InVue’s global sales team, and other members of Product Management and Product Marketing to devise, validate and gain acceptance for new software products and software features. In this role you will play an important role in supporting InVue’s OneKEY ecosystem vision and the delivery of smart access control solutions.
 
The role is tasked with validating the addressable markets for new software products and gathering essential customer requirements and perspectives for new products and features. This role will strongly contribute to the growth, profitability, and ultimate success of InVue’s software product platform. The Senior Product Director’s goals are to grow recurring software revenue and software adoption by retail customers globally.
 
This role requires product management, product marketing, and road mapping experience, along with firm technology understanding and effective interaction with our global customers and sales team. The ideal candidate will interface with industry thought leaders, customers, and strategic partners, in addition to participating in frequent planning and ideation sessions with InVue’s software product development engineers and technical delivery team. The role will work closely with decision makers in marketing and sales leadership to ensure that software products are correctly presented to the market.
 
Ideal candidates will have commercial software pricing experience and be adept in evangelizing the value of InVue’s software solutions to partners, retailers, and brands globally.
Responsibilities
  • Embrace the role of “Product Champion” for InVue’s software solutions
  • Lead software solution pricing, market validation, and go-to-market coordination
  • Be the InVue expert on smart access and other software capabilities for global retailers, articulating how these differentiate InVue and bring real value to retailers
  • Succinctly articulate stages of InVue smart access adoption and use of connected solutions to solve current and future retail challenges
  • Execute a winning product strategy for software, measured by customer adoption, recurring revenue growth, and positive, first-hand customer feedback
  • Working directly with the Executive Vice President, create a 12-24 month software roadmap vision aligned to the company’s strategic direction
  • Define product positioning and essential product messaging for InVue’s software products, including how they underpin and augment the OneKEY ecosystem and smart access approach to retail
  • Partner with Marketing on the development of product launch activities, data sheets, and outbound marketing materials
  • Approach software Product Management from a global perspective, taking into consideration regional market and technical requirements that impact data collection and use, regional mobile use trends, and more
  • Energize and educate customers, partners, and sales team about InVue’s software roadmap, capabilities, and value
  • Research various retail segments and the competitive landscape to evaluate potential opportunities for new products or M&A opportunities
Qualifications 
  • 10+ years of experience in software product management, software product ownership, product marketing, or software-centric business development roles
  • Experience with software product management and/or sales is required
  • Experience with Internet-based software solutions and or IoT product solutions required
  • Experience working with large customers required; international business experience a significant plus
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Candidate must have “boardroom quality” presentation and communication ability
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Communication, Design or Engineering discipline desired; MBA a plus
  • Proven history of impacting business both strategically and tactically
  • Effective planning, prioritizing, and organizing skills
  • Ability to productively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proof of success in a fast-paced, multitasking global environment
  • Excellent voice-of-customer, customer service and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to travel upward of 40%, including international travel
