What does a senior signage project manager do?

A Senior Signage Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of signage projects for businesses, institutions, or public spaces. Their responsibilities include coordinating with clients, designers, fabricators, and installers to ensure that signage meets branding, regulatory, and quality standards. They manage budgets, timelines, and project teams to deliver projects on schedule and within scope. Additionally, they handle problem-solving, site surveys, permitting, and compliance with local codes. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior signage project manager?

To thrive as a Senior Signage Project Manager, you need strong project management skills, deep knowledge of signage design and installation processes, and experience with construction or architectural projects, often supported by a relevant degree or PMP certification. Familiarity with project management software (like MS Project or Procore), CAD tools, and compliance standards is typically required. Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities set top performers apart, enabling them to coordinate diverse teams and stakeholders. These skills ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client specifications, which is critical in high-stakes signage and branding initiatives.

Job description

Company: Confidential Commercial Landscape Contractor
Location: Tampa, FL
Recruiter: Bloom Talent Solutions

We specialize in recruiting high-caliber leaders in the green industry, partnering with commercial landscape firms that are growing, modernizing, and building future-forward teams. This role is one of the most impactful positions we are filling this year.

Lead the Build. Own the Outcome.

This is not a coordinator role. It is a full-ownership project management position at one of Florida's leading commercial landscape contractors, operating three install branches across Tampa, Venice, and Fort Myers. The Tampa flagship carries mid-$20Ms in annual revenue with backlog strong through the back half of 2026 and into 2027.

Following a recent migration to Aspire and a deliberate investment in project management discipline, the Install Division is hiring a Senior Project Manager to anchor commercial project delivery from estimating handoff through closeout. You will have direct exposure to senior leadership and real influence over how the PM function is built going forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage five or more concurrent commercial install projects ranging from $300,000 to $1M+, including amenity centers within master-planned developments, airports, gas stations, restaurants, and office parks
  • Own full-spectrum project management: scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and client communication
  • Maintain real job costing and budget P&L ownership by project from estimating handoff through closeout
  • Lead client-facing change order negotiation and relationship management
  • Coordinate self-perform crews (landscape, irrigation, sod) and subcontracted scope (hardscape, fencing, turf, pavers)
  • Execute Aspire-based project setup, milestone billing, forecasting, and reporting
  • Partner with project engineers, superintendents, purchasing, estimating, and billing teams across active projects

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in commercial landscape, hardscape, or adjacent self-perform trades
  • Documented job costing, budget control, schedule management, and client management on multi-project portfolios
  • Experience with Aspire, Procore, or an equivalent commercial project management platform
  • Comfortable managing multi-million-dollar commercial install projects with multiple subs and GC interface
  • High-performing PMs from adjacent trades (mechanical, electrical, hardscape, civil) will be considered with demonstrated sophistication
  • Strong communication skills, ownership mindset, and accountability for outcomes

Why This Role? Why Now?

This is a build-out role with real scope and real authority. You will step into a well-resourced division with an established support infrastructure: project engineer, superintendents, purchasing, estimating, and billing teams all in place. The backlog is strong, the systems are modern, and senior leadership is invested in getting this right. If you are a PM who wants to own outcomes and help shape how a high-performing division operates, this is the opportunity.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $130,000+, commensurate with experience
  • On-target earnings: $150,000 to $160,000 with performance bonus
  • Company vehicle
  • Medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits
  • Relocation support: $10,000 to $15,000 stipend or reimbursement for qualified out-of-market candidates
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership with influence over the PM function build-out
