Job description

Imperative Chemical Partners has an immediate opening for a Senior Service Technician in Roosevelt, UT. If you are interested in joining a growing company with a proven track record of success, this is your opportunity.

SUMMARY:

The Senior Service Technician is required to have a working knowledge of chemical products for use in oil and gas application. The Senior Service Technician performs chemical treatment of oil wells, troubleshooting and maintenance of the wells and is the field representative to assist and answer customer questions or concerns. The Senior Service Technician is a lead position and is expected to assist with mentoring or training employees as well as identifying and improving operational processes.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Possess and have working knowledge of chemical products and their applications in the field
  • Assist supervisor with program and route scheduling
  • Mentor and train employees in company processes and communicate progress to supervisor
  • Support supervisor in completion of operational reporting
  • Communicate issues and questions to immediate supervisor in a timely and thorough manner
  • Interact with customer and other field personnel to answer questions and resolve issues
  • Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot field equipment in support of chemical treatment programs
  • Oversee and ensure preventive maintenance/cleaning on pumps and trailers after daily use is completed
  • Use and train others on phone app-based system to create shipping papers, make deliveries, perform service and communicate all customer location visits
  • Perform field testing when needed
  • Rig up equipment (gooseneck and/or bumper pull trailers)
  • Understand and follow all DOT regulations related to position, if applicable
  • Knowledge of valve and well pressures while on oilfield locations
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of chemical process and utilization in yard and field operations
  • Deliver chemical as needed
  • Maintain (in good Standing) required DOT licensing and all associated requirements, if applicable
  • Maintain company property in good order (equipment, tools, computer, phones, trucks, etc.)
  • Always wear appropriate PPE/safety gear during operations
  • Keeps current on safety techniques and takes advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills
  • Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment
  • Adheres to company safety policies and guidelines
  • Other duties as may be assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:

High School Diploma or GED

  • Acceptable driving record for a minimum of 3 years
  • 2+ years in oilfield chemical applications

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Basic math skills
  • Computer skills
  • Previous oil and gas well experience
  • Experience with operating machinery used in oil and gas operation
  • Understanding of fundamental chemical properties (oil/water solubility)
  • Experience in and competent knowledge of chemical batch treatment process
  • Understanding of well and valve pressures
  • Class A CDL with hazardous materials endorsement / tanker endorsement
