Job description

Sr. Project Manager
Commercial Signage Full-Time Humble, Texas
Lead complex work. Own the outcome.
Humble Sign Co. is looking for an experienced Sr. Project Manager to lead complex, high-value signage projects for some of Texas's most recognized brands. This role goes well beyond updating schedules and forwarding emails. You will have the authority and support to own projects from handoff through installation and closeout.
We are an established, growing sign manufacturer trusted by organizations including Landry's, H-E-B, the Houston Astros, Amegy Bank, and other leading regional and national brands. If you know the commercial sign industry, anticipate problems before they become emergencies, and take pride in delivering exceptional work, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Why This Role Is Different
  • High-profile work: Manage sophisticated custom projects and multi-location programs for recognized brands.
  • Real ownership: Make sound decisions, set expectations, and keep the project moving without waiting to be told what to do next.
  • An established team and a visible role: Work directly with Design, Permitting, Purchasing, Fabrication, Production, and Installation while helping strengthen the PM department.

What You'll Own
  • Independently manage complex, high-value, and high-visibility signage projects from handoff through final completion.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, build strong relationships, and confidently manage expectations and difficult conversations.
  • Coordinate Design, Engineering, Permitting, Purchasing, Production, Installation, vendors, and subcontractors while confirming that scope, surveys, drawings, approvals, permits, and installation requirements are correct.
  • Anticipate downstream risk and address issues before they affect the client, schedule, cost, installation, or profitability.
  • Manage scope changes, change orders, vendor costs, project schedules, documentation, and client commitments.
  • Hold internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors accountable while knowing when to make the call and when an issue truly requires escalation.

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation from $80,000 to $100,000+ annually, based on experience and demonstrated expertise.
  • The opportunity to manage meaningful, high-profile work for respected Texas and national brands.
  • Support from an experienced team with deep design, permitting, manufacturing, and installation capabilities.
  • A position with genuine authority and influence at a growing Texas company that values quality, accountability, practical problem-solving, and doing what we promise.

Ready to apply? Submit your resume with a brief summary of the signage projects or programs you have managed. Tell us what you owned, the challenges you solved, and the results you delivered.
Requirements
  • Five or more years of Project Management experience in the commercial sign industry, with substantial electrical-signage experience.
  • A proven ability to independently manage complex projects from handoff through closeout, with working knowledge of channel letters, cabinets, monument and pylon signs, raceways, EMCs, and custom electrical signage.
  • The ability to read sign drawings, surveys, site plans, architectural drawings, specifications, and installation details, along with a working understanding of permitting and inspections.
  • Experience managing vendors, subcontractors, project costs, change orders, schedules, and competing deadlines.
  • Confident communication, strong judgment, urgency, organization, follow-through, and genuine accountability for the final outcome.

Highly valued experience
  • Large, multi-location, national, or high-visibility signage programs.
  • Texas permitting and sign-code requirements.
  • Complex installations involving cranes, specialty access, electrical coordination, or challenging site conditions.
  • Working directly with general contractors, architects, developers, property managers, or national accounts, plus mentoring other Project Managers.
