Description

The Project Manager 1 (PM-1) is responsible for leading and delivering assigned projects from initial planning through closeout, while meeting company standards for safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance. This role acts as the primary point of

accountability for all project activities-coordinating engineering, procurement, production, testing, and internal/external stakeholder interaction to ensure successful execution. Success in this role means balancing technical requirements, commercial

priorities, and team dynamics to deliver high-quality results for project load of around $10M in total value

Requirements

Project Planning & Schedule Management

Develop and maintain the project schedule, establishing key milestones and

deliverables.

Coordinate engineering, procurement, production, and field teams to maintain

schedule integrity.

Proactively identify schedule risks and implement recovery or mitigation plans.

Budget & Cost Control

Establish and track project budgets, including labor, material, and subcontractor

costs.

Monitor actual costs vs. budget.

Collect and validate data from procurement, engineering, and production.

Provide internal updates on cost status to the lead PM or PMO Manager.

Change & Risk Management

Evaluate and process change requests, securing approvals before initiating work.

Identify project risks, maintain a risk register, and lead mitigation planning with

stakeholders.

Escalate critical issues and implement contingency measures as required.

Client & Stakeholder Relationships

Serve as the primary customer contact from project handover through

completion.

Lead client and internal project meetings; communicate progress, challenges, and

next steps.

Foster positive relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and internal

departments.

Quality & Compliance Oversight

Verify that engineering and production outputs meet specifications and

applicable codes and customer specifications.

Ensure adherence to company safety and quality standards across all project phases.

Monitor nonconformities and shortfalls for reporting and suggestions for process

improvement.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

Support procurement activities, including vendor selection, PO release,

expediting, and OEM/vendor production schedules.

Monitor material and equipment deliveries to ensure alignment with project

schedules.

Project Close-Out

Confirm completion of punch-list items and final inspections.

Verify completion of all project related AP and AR functions

Oversee compilation and archiving of close-out documentation and lessons

learned.

preferred.

PMP or equivalent project management certification a plus.

Working knowledge of industrial electrical power systems and applicable codes

(NEC, ANSI, NEMA, IEC)



Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
