Job description

The Sr Product Marketing Manager will help drive market preference and demand for Verisign's top-level domains (TLDs) and related products and services globally. A successful candidate will have the ability to think creatively and analytically to identify and analyze problems and data to find creative solutions grounded in logic. They will be an expert at understanding our customers and turning technical concepts in persuasive and compelling stories that motivate action.

This position will help manage Verisign's product portfolio through activities including, but not limited to, messaging, proof point, and brand benefits/value proposition development in support of new product launches; channel programs; and general marketing initiatives.

The Sr Product Marketing Manager will serve as the subject matter expert on buyer personas, market trends, and the competitive landscape in addition to producing customer-facing and sales collateral, including whitepapers, webinars, case studies, website copy, etc. This role will also work closely with the Product team to validate product strategy, specifications, and messaging; and manage and align on roadmaps for product launches and enhancements. Lastly, the Sr Product Marketing Manager will need to work cross-functionally to shepherd key projects through the company prioritization and approval process, and support other business operation needs as required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Generate awareness and drive demand for Verisign's TLDs and related services by developing unique and compelling messaging and supporting content and assets that clearly articulate the value propositions to target audiences and customers.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive launch plans for new products and feature enhancements.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and primary and secondary research, and track industry news to stay abreast of the competitive landscape and identify opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively across multiple departments to gain understanding, buy-in, and approval of strategies and content to support go-to-market activities.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of brand management and/or product marketing management experience
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Ability to operate at an operational and strategic level
  • Strong business acumen, good judgment, attention to detail, objectivity, and accountability
  • Ability to think both analytically and creatively, making data-informed decisions
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to manage a large number of internal stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong presentation development abilities

This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The pay range is $135,800 - $183,800.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
