Shape the Future of Manufacturing. At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.   We are currently looking to hire a Process Engineer based in West Jordan, Utah!   We're looking for a hands-on Process Engineer who is passionate about solving problems, optimizing equipment performance, and working side-by-side with operations teams to drive continuous improvement.   The Process Engineer is a key member of the Line Trio team, partnering closely with the Line Leader and Maintenance Leader to drive equipment reliability, technical capability, process standardization, and continuous improvement. This role plays a critical part in identifying and eliminating process losses while building sustainable systems and best practices that improve line performance.  Together, the Line Leader, Maintenance Leader, and Process Engineer share end-to-end ownership of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and equipment performance for their assigned production line.

In this role, you'll become a technical leader on the production floor, using data-driven problem solving, reliability tools, and process expertise to eliminate losses, standardize best practices, and improve overall plant performance. If you're energized by solving complex manufacturing challenges, coaching frontline teams, and delivering measurable operational improvements, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact within one of Danone's largest manufacturing facilities. What You'll DoAs a Process Engineer, you'll be a key technical leader responsible for improving manufacturing performance, building team capability, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that advance safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.  Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives that improve process reliability, efficiency, and equipment performance.
  • Identify, prioritize, and eliminate process losses through data analysis and continuous improvement activities.
  • Partner with production leaders and frontline teams to establish standards and optimize operating procedures.
  • Drive troubleshooting efforts and build technical capability across the organization.
  • Support change management, validation activities, and process improvements.
  • Utilize reliability engineering tools to improve asset performance and loss elimination.
  • Develop and deliver technical training on equipment, processes, and new ways of working.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for designated manufacturing processes.
  • Spend significant time on the production floor coaching teams and driving results where the work happens.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; taste and/or smell, talk and hear.
  • Ability to bend & stoop at waist level as well as bend & twist neck and head.
  • The employee must regularly endure repetitive minimal to moderate lifting 10lbs up to 50lbs and occasional team lifting above 50lbs. Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and results.
  • The employee is frequently standing on a concrete surface for 8-, 10- or 12-hour shifts
  • Occasionally may need to climb on stairs, step ladders, stool.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.  The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and may be exposed to loud noises in the plant.  The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, risk of electrical shock and vibration.

  • A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or related field, required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated technical problem-solving and leadership capability, preferred.
