ADVERTISING TITLE: Senior Data Analyst

This open state advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in Research & Data Analysis.

Our goal is to contribute to the safety and security of our facilities and the community by delivering reliable data that drives evidence-based practices and continuous improvement.

This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Handle data management tasks like ETL, quality assurance and data governance.
  • Handle data analysis tasks such as creating reports using SAS 9.4, SQL, Power BI and other software.
  • Maintain the SAS data warehouse and SAS environment.
  • Work with the Office of Information Technology to create and maintain data pipelines. Install and troubleshoot SAS software and assist with hardware and software purchases.
  • Provide technical support and training to bureau staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Four (4) years' professional experience administering databases/applications or analyzing data. Postsecondary education may substitute on a year for year basis for two (2) of the required years.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional experience inputting, using or analyzing human resources or criminal justice data
  • Professional experience with ETL and quality assurance processes
  • Professional experience complying with confidentiality regulations and guidelines (eg. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, Criminal Justice Information Services Security Policy)
  • Professional experience with data collection, cleansing, aggregation and analysis
  • Experience with software installation and maintenance

Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
