SENIOR CONSULTANT – MASTER DATA GOVERNANCE

NUMBER OF POSITIONS - 2

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Master Data Online (MDO) practice, supporting the design and delivery of enterprise data governance solutions on SAP. The successful candidate will bring deep SAP ERP experiene, a strong background in data governance and master data management (MDG or equivalent), and hands‑on exposure to Asset and Material data domains. This is a client‑facing role spanning requirement gathering, governance design, and close collaboration with technical build teams to deliver configured and custom solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support requirement gathering workshops with client stakeholders to define business rules, data standards, and governance workflows for master data (Asset and/or Material domains).
  • Translate business requirements into functional designs for data governance processes, validation rules, and approval workflows within MDO.
  • Partner with Build teams to define technical requirements and support the development of custom RFCs, function modules, and enhancements needed to operationalize governance rules in SAP.
  • Design and validate data quality rules, classification structures, and master data models aligned to industry standards and client‑specific requirements.
  • Support configuration and testing of governance workflows, ensuring alignment between business rules and system behavior.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle, from design through go‑live and stabilization.
  • Contribute to solution documentation, functional specifications, and test scripts to support project delivery and knowledge transfer.
  • Provide subject matter guidance on SAP master data structures, data governance best practices, and related tools and processes.
  • Participate in the sales cycle by supporting product demonstrations and contributing to the preparation of Statements of Work (SOW) for prospective clients.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of overall experience working with SAP ERP systems.
  • Minimum of 2 data governance projects involving SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) or related master data management products.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing data governance projects for SAP, including business rule definition, workflow design, and data quality frameworks.
  • Strong functional experience in the Asset domain (e.g., SAP Plant Maintenance) and/or Material domain (e.g., Material Master, MRP, Purchasing).
  • Proven experience leading or actively participating in requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with technical/build teams on custom development, including RFCs, function modules, or other SAP enhancements supporting governance workflows.
  • Solid understanding of master data lifecycle management, data classification, and data quality validation principles.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical audiences.
