A Day in the Life 

The Scrum Master Senior Manager serves as a senior delivery leader within the Office of Strategy & Technology, leading multiple complex Agile and project-based initiatives while establishing consistent delivery standards across teams. This role oversees the day-to-day management for the scrum master team, strengthens Agile and project delivery capability, and partners with senior leaders and stakeholders to align execution with firm strategy, capacity, risk, and value realization.

A typical day as a Scrum Master Senior Manager might include the following:

  • Providing direct leadership for Scrum Masters, including performance management, career development, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Leading multiple complex Agile and project-based initiatives, ensuring delivery aligns with firm strategy, priorities, governance expectations, and execution standards.
  • Establishing and reinforcing Agile, Scrum, and project management standards, templates, governance, and best practices across delivery teams.
  • Setting project delivery direction, quarterly planning priorities, and execution approaches across multiple initiatives and teams.
  • Partnering with leaders, peers, and stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and sequence work based on business value, capacity, risk, and dependencies.
  • Overseeing portfolio-level planning, including resource allocation, hours and budget management, cross-team dependencies, and delivery commitments.
  • Driving consistent execution of Agile ceremonies, delivery governance, reporting routines, and accountability practices across teams.
  • Anticipating systemic risks, dependencies, issues, and delivery barriers; implements proactive mitigation strategies and escalates appropriately.
  • Providing executive-level communication on delivery health, outcomes, risks, trade-offs, decisions, and mitigation plans.
  • Acting as a senior advisor to stakeholders, influencing decisions, aligning expectations, and resolving complex cross-team impediments without relying on direct authority.
  • Leading continuous improvement efforts by analyzing delivery metrics, trends, and performance outcomes to improve execution effectiveness and value realization.
  • Supporting development of delivery competency frameworks, knowledge sharing, training, and communities of practice to build Agile and project management capability.
  • Ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant performance across assigned initiatives, including budgets, timelines, turnaround times, and commitments.

Who You Are 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Project Management, or a related field required.
  • You have 10+ years of progressive project management, Agile delivery, or program leadership experience, including leadership of multiple complex initiatives.
  • You have people leadership experience, including oversight, coaching, or development of Scrum Masters, project managers, or delivery team members.
  • You have demonstrated experience operating in a portfolio, program, PMO, or enterprise delivery role preferred.
  • You have experience leading strategic, technology, transformation, or professional services initiatives preferred.
  • You are a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), Certified Scrum Professional ScrumMaster (CSP-SM), PMP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.

$155,000-$195,000. Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
