The Position

The Senior Logistics Supervisor plays a critical leadership role within the supply chain and logistics team, overseeing end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, material flow, inventory control, and staffing across a 24/5 manufacturing environment. This position ensures alignment with production schedules, inventory accuracy, safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and managing high-performing teams while ensuring operational excellence through proactive planning, performance management, and execution. This role reports directly to the Senior Logistics Manager and serves as a key partner in achieving production and customer delivery goals. You will be directly responsible for three shift supervisors who report to this role and are accountable for executing daily operations across all shifts.

The Location

We are located at 8860 Smith's Mill Rd, Ste 100,New Albany, OH 43054.This is an onsite position.

Additional Job Details
  • Provide direct supervision and strategic guidance to three shift supervisors, shift leads, and warehouse teams across all three shifts, ensuring consistent execution of warehouse and material handling operations.
  • Oversee and manage domestic and international inbound logistics, ensuring accurate and timely receiving, staging, and material transfer to support continuous production flow.
  • Lead daily warehouse operations, including receiving, line staging, inventory control, and transfer of materials between internal and off-site warehouse facilities.
  • Own the creation and execution of daily pick lists for production staging, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of materials to the production floor.
  • Monitor and improve warehouse performance through KPIs, inventory accuracy, on-time material delivery, and reduction of transactional errors.
  • Partner with Human Resources to proactively address staffing needs, coordinate recruitment, and ensure onboarding aligns with operational requirements.
  • Ensure comprehensive and ongoing training, development, and performance evaluation of all logistics team members.
  • Champion the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcoding technologies to drive process accuracy and visibility.
  • Enforce and continuously improve workplace safety standards, serving as a role model for safety culture and conscious leadership.
  • Oversee and sustain 5S and lean warehousing practices, promoting organized, clean, and efficient warehouse environments.
  • Lead cross-functional communication with supply chain, production, quality, and leadership teams to align priorities and resolve issues.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including the creation of work instructions, SOPs, and logistics process enhancements.
  • Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the Senior Logistics Manager
Required Qualifications
  • Associateโ€™s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing logistics or warehouse operations, including supervisory or management-level responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop multi-shift teams in a high-volume, fast-paced logistics environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree preferred.
  • Prior experience implementing and managing 5S, lean principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment (MHE) certification and recertification processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with staffing strategy, shift management, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Capable of enforcing consistent application of policies and resolving employee issues in a fair and professional manner.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (IFS, SAP, or similar), WMS, TMS (Manhattan, OpenDock, or similar) and barcode scanning tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Experience creating and managing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
