Description

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Logistics Analyst – MBPS/CDMD-OA to support life cycle maintenance and integrated logistics product development for US Navy C4I systems, specifically ADNS, CANES, and Legacy ORT for PMW-160. This is a full-time onsite position at our government facility at Naval Station Norfolk.

Job Duties:

  • MBPS/CDMD-OA creation of new configuration files/COP loads and updates to existing files. Responsible for development of C4I system logistics products to support system installations, specifically, Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Packages and Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) workfiles developed and submitted within the Navy Data Environment (NDE). Responsible for responding to emergent requests for detailed analysis of existing CDMD-OA work file submissions.

  • Must have thorough understanding of ILS Certs, ILS Packages SWDs, ACLs/APLs/BOMs, and parts/hardware drawings.

  • Involves direct contact with customers and fleet users, and demands performance that is both detail oriented and time critical.

  • This position will also serve as a backup to other Logistics functions, including ILS Packages, Provisioning, and DMSMS. Exposure to and experience with other areas of Logistics is helpful.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelors and five (6) years or more of related experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Completion of MBPS CSA Instructor Led Training ILT is required (certificate will need to be presented)

  • Active Configuration Tech Data Manager (CTDM) role/persona in Model Based Product Support (MBPS) is required. Candidate must have experience creating COP loads from scratch and loading in MBPS.

Desired:

  • Possess a comprehensive working knowledge of US Navy and Department of Defense Logistics Systems including supply processes, C5RA requirements, stock control, warehousing, inventory management, depot level repair, production, integration design, and physical distribution of supplies

  • Possess a thorough knowledge and documented use of software systems/databases used for logistics support of US Navy material. Duties of the position include interpreting shipboard installation drawings, allowance parts lists (APLs), and ILS Certifications to prepare work files in support of C4I system installations, as well as extracting data from NDE to support deliver of ILS packages

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment while working on multiple projects of diverse scope will be key to successful performance of the task requirements associated with this position

  • Extensive experience with MBPS and CDMD-OA

  • Experience with ILS Packages, DMSMS, and Provisioning
