Job description

Position Title: UNIX Systems Administrator (Senior Linux Engineer)

Location: Boca Raton, FL

Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview:
Provide operational support and maintenance for a large Linux estate (approximately 300 servers). The role focuses on Red Hat (RHEL 8/9) administration, patch management, automation, performance tuning, security vulnerability remediation, and collaboration with IT and business stakeholders to ensure high availability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software.

  • Perform OS patching and remediate security vulnerabilities to meet compliance requirements.

  • Tune systems to application-specific requirements and support server migrations.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.

  • Develop and maintain automation (Ansible) and manage related platforms and tooling.

  • Provide on-call Unix/Linux support in a 24x7 environment and document work.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • RHEL Linux 8/9 administration and patch management.

  • Linux server builds and custom configuration experience.
