CACI has an immediate opening for a Junior Software Engineer with a Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI) for our corporate development/test network and fielded systems. This role will be be a dual role where you will perform some Sys Admin functions as well for our Sarasota (FL) location. In this position, the individual will work with emerging technologies in the space domain awareness sector. This sector is focused on ground- and space-based systems that detect, characterize, and predict threats to national and allied space systems. You will participate in system design reviews, create and revise documentation, perform hardware and software integration/configuration, and participate in system testing and software installation. In this role you will assist with the build, test, and deployment of systems worldwide.
Responsibilities:
  • Support critical Space Domain Awareness missions.
  • Work the entire lifecycle of the mission system from design, installation, and operations.
  • Participate in system design, software configuration, documentation, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Perform fault-isolation of ground-based satellite system hardware and software working with various stakeholders.
  • Participate in peer-review of system designs to ensure the system meets the technical requirements and conforms with established technical standards.
  • Build, configure and test various system components to reflect design documents.
  • Requires an ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking.
  • Regularly completes assigned tasks that have a direct impact on project schedule or system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot issues with your assigned system as needed

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Requires broad technical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. Typically has a Bachelor's degree or Associates/Vocational/Technical education or equivalent work experience.
  • TS/SCI preferred, but will consider without a clearance
  • Possess an understanding of comprehensive system administration principles, and problem-solving skills.
  • Linux experience with a focus on Red Hat.
  • Competence in MS Office suite including Visio.
  • Participate in system design, hardware and software integration/configuration, documentation, system hardening and testing and delivery that meet the functional requirements of the system.
  • Must be willing to meet all requirements to facilitate a system installation at DoD facility. Knowledge and experience in system administration processes including at least one of the following certifications:
    • A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSPExperience in installation, integration, configuration, tuning, OS patching (IAVA), and network/OS security and troubleshooting of Red Hat Linux servers.
  • Experience with virtualization environments (e.g. VMware, Red Hat Virtualization, KVM) Experience with network attached storage using NFS (e.g. NetApp)
  • Experience with installing and configuring server hardware (HP) and provisioning with Raid and iLO.

Desired:
  • Experience using network monitoring tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in technical, business, and client interactions Experience with Scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Bash)
  • Experience with DevSecOps and respective tools
  • Experience supporting ISSO and ISSEs via technical implementation (e.g. DISA STIG).
