What We Are Looking For
Seeking a highly skilled and energetic Senior Maintenance Technician to support our team. In this vital role, you will lead maintenance activities, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and ensure optimal operation of production machinery. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing environment, supporting continuous production and quality standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong technical background in industrial maintenance and electrical systems. This position will have on-call responsibilities.
This position works closely with other departments to ensure we continues to operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties
Maintenance & Repair: Independently troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul machinery to manufacturer specs, including pumps and equipment.
Preventative Care: Perform routine PM checks (e.g., vibration detection) and maintain clean, organized workspaces and electrical rooms.
Welding & Fabrication: Execute precision welding using TIG, MIG, and STICK techniques.
Documentation & Systems: Log labor, tasks, and parts in CMMS software; maintain accurate equipment documentation and change logs.
Inventory & Logistics: Manage tool inventory, submit requisitions, and adhere to company inventory control policies.
Safety & Compliance: Execute all tasks in strict accordance with safety regulations and LOTO (Lock-out/Tag-out) procedures.
Collaboration: Coordinate with production teams on job specifics and participate in a rotational on-call schedule.
Other duties as assigned to accomplish the safe and timely day-to-day operations within the plant.
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED required
· 5 years' work experience in heavy industrial maintenance
· Valid driver's license
· High proficiency in industrial maintenance activities
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to competently perform processing procedures including CMMS data entry requirements
· Extensive safety knowledge related to tools and machinery
· Ability to work well with others and the ability to work independently
· Ability to effectively train other maintenance technicians
· Basic IT knowledge

Skills
Extensive experience working within manufacturing facilities with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance best practices.
Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and industrial electrical systems including high voltage applications.
Skilled in using CMMS software for work order management and maintenance planning.
Knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding techniques (including welding), and mechanical troubleshooting.
Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters, ammeters, calipers, micrometers, and other tools for accurate diagnostics.
Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex equipment failures quickly and effectively.
Experience working with industrial electricians on low voltage electrical systems; familiarity with field service operations is a plus.
Excellent customer service skills when collaborating with team members or external vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
Effective communication skills in English to document procedures clearly and follow safety protocols diligently.
Military background or industrial mechanic experience is considered an asset due to the discipline and technical expertise it brings.
