Your Opportunity:

The Aftermarket Inventory Analyst II plays a crucial role in optimizing our inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and enhancing operational efficiency. This position requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for data-driven decision-making. With oversight from Sr. Inventory Controller, this role will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and managing inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and maximizing turnover. This role involves calculating future inventory needs, identifying and resolving discrepancies, collaborating with various departments, and contributing to the continuous improvement of inventory management processes and systems.

  • This opportunity is based out of Bloomington, MN headquarters.

  • The current team works a hybrid model with 3-days on-site and optional 2-days remote. Fully remote is not available at this time.

  • May require occasional visits to warehouse or distribution center locations. All employees in this department are required to obtain/maintain an valid US Passport and Driver's License.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyze inventory data, including sales history, demand patterns, and market trends, to forecast future inventory requirements accurately.

  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and production schedules.

  • Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.

  • Develop and maintain regular inventory reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, stock-outs, excess inventory, and service levels.

  • Collaborate with sourcing, sales, logistics, and warehouse teams to optimize inventory replenishment strategies, ensure timely stock availability, and manage inbound/outbound material flow.

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and refinement of inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Utilize inventory management software and ERP systems to track, manage, and report on inventory. SAP experience is preferred.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce carrying costs, minimize waste, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

  • Participate in creation of stocking strategies aligned with business needs and departmental goals.

  • Support new product introductions and phase-outs by managing inventory transitions effectively.

  • Communicate inventory status, potential issues, and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

  • 2-5 years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, or a similar analytical role within a supply chain environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make actionable recommendations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIFs) and data analysis.

  • Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).

  • Solid understanding of inventory control principles, forecasting methods, and supply chain best practices.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:
  • APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) or other relevant professional certification.

  • Experience with advanced data analysis tools or business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Knowledge of lean inventory principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Experience in manufacturing industry

  • Competitive Salary - A reasonable pay range for this opportunity is $75,000-$85,000. The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
