Operations Research Analyst

As an operations analyst, you’re passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need an experienced research analyst like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. On our team, you’ll evaluate United States Air Force capabilities.

You won’t go at it alone, you’ll work alongside a team to conduct research, prepare graphs and charts, and analyze and interpret the performance needs of various capabilities. Once documented, you’ll develop the findings to present results, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in various program meetings to improve program efficiency.

In this role, you’ll use your passion for analytics and statistics to devise modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines.

Use your operations research knowledge to develop technologies and concepts that advance our customer's mission.

You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience with Operations Research Analysis (ORSA), Data Science, or mathematics or analytic methodologies
  • Experience with developing analytic methodologies, metrics, and decision criteria
  • Experience with leveraging scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Experience with preparing and presenting information to communicate assessment findings
  • Experience with R, Python, SQL, or software programs that analyze data
  • Experience collaborating with other analysts in an integrated development environment
  • Experience with survey design or analysis and interview techniques
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research Systems Analysis, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with decision models, nodal or flow modeling, or trending and forecasting
  • Experience with code repositories, or data and information management
  • Experience with wargaming, simulation, or geospatial analysis
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Master's degree in Operations Research, Data Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
