Job description

ROLE SUMMARY

Falcon Plastics has spent more than 50 years earning a reputation for quality, technology, and on-time delivery across our manufacturing operations. We're hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to be the hands-on technical anchor for that environment, the person who owns virtualization, networking, identity, and end-user computing across our sites and keeps them stable, secure, and improving. This is a senior individual-contributor role with real ownership and autonomy.

This position is responsible for the administration, stability, performance, security, and lifecycle management of the organization's core infrastructure and end-user technology environment. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer supports enterprise systems, networks, identity management, and endpoint technologies while contributing to infrastructure improvements and technology initiatives. This role works closely with IT team members and business stakeholders to ensure technology solutions remain reliable, secure, and aligned with operational needs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Own and strengthen core infrastructure. Administer, maintain, and continuously improve Falcon's server, virtualization, storage, and identity platforms. Ensure systems remain secure, reliable, well-monitored, and properly documented throughout their lifecycle.
  2. Maintain a resilient enterprise network. Support and optimize Falcon's multi-site network environment, including switching, routing, wireless, firewalls, VPN connectivity, and core network services. Contribute to infrastructure upgrades and modernization initiatives that improve performance, scalability, and security.
  3. Deliver reliable end-user technology. Support virtual desktop and application environments, endpoint technologies, printing systems, and plant-floor devices that enable employees to work efficiently and keep operations running smoothly.
  4. Serve as the senior technical escalation point. Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex infrastructure, network, and endpoint issues. Partner with support team members to resolve challenges, share knowledge, and elevate technical capabilities across the IT organization.
  5. Lead and contribute to strategic technology initiatives. Play a key technical role in infrastructure modernization efforts, system upgrades, technology implementations, and continuous improvement projects that support Falcon's long-term growth and operational objectives.
  6. Build sustainable, repeatable IT practices. Create and maintain documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational procedures that improve consistency, reduce risk, and ensure critical knowledge is shared across the team.
  7. Collaborate across the organization. Work closely with IT colleagues, business stakeholders, vendors, and technology partners to deliver solutions that align with business needs while maintaining high standards for reliability, security, and service.
