Senior Helpers of North Raleigh is seeking a high-performing Director of Business Development to help grow our rapidly expanding in-home senior care business across Wake County and surrounding communities. This is a field-based sales role focused on developing referral partnerships, generating client leads, and building long-term relationships within the healthcare and senior services community.

This is not a passive marketing role. We are looking for someone who is energized by building partnerships, creating referral momentum, and helping grow a newer business in a competitive market. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly accountable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment where activity and results matter.

Senior Helpers of North Raleigh is an independently owned and operated franchise serving seniors and families throughout the Raleigh area. Senior Helpers is a national leader in high-quality in-home senior care, providing specialized care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, Parkinson’s, and other chronic conditions, as well as personal and companion care services that help seniors age safely and independently at home.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive referral growth and new client acquisition through strategic relationship development and consistent community outreach
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living and memory care communities, physician offices, hospice agencies, home health providers, VA organizations, elder law professionals, and other healthcare referral sources
  • Conduct regular in-person meetings, drop-ins, networking activities, presentations, and follow-up with referral partners throughout the territory
  • Develop and manage an active pipeline of referral relationships and prospective client opportunities
  • Maintain a high level of weekly outreach activity, including consistent face-to-face meetings and referral source engagement
  • Track all sales activity, pipeline movement, referral development efforts, and performance metrics within the CRM system
  • Develop and execute strategic territory growth plans aligned with company goals
  • Represent Senior Helpers of North Raleigh professionally at community events, healthcare networking functions, trade shows, and industry meetings, as needed
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly growth goals and key performance indicators
  • Maintain professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through in all interactions

Qualifications

  • Must reside in greater Raleigh, NC or surrounding areas
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in healthcare sales, business development, community relations, or referral development required
  • Strong preference for candidates with existing relationships in the Wake County healthcare and senior services community
  • Experience in home care, home health, hospice, senior living, healthcare staffing, or related healthcare services strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to generate referrals, develop partnerships, and grow business relationships
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up and relationship management skills
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership
  • Comfortable working independently in a startup or growth-focused environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using CRM systems and tracking sales metrics/KPIs
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining consistent outreach and follow-through
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout the territory required

Compensation & Benefits
