Procure and perform acceptance testing on equipment. Provide hardware maintenance support, both preventative and remedial. Deploy, install, and implement hardware at Continental United States (CONUS) locations. Prepare specifications for hardware by analyzing documented and derived system requirements. Conduct site surveys. Prepare engineering plans and site Technical Design Packages. Organize and direct hardware installations. Configure (and document configuration of) computers, networking devices, and various peripheral equipment. Prepare site installation and test reports. Provide specific input to the hardware components of system design, including end-user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices, and specialized processors. Qualifications: Fourteen (14) years experience with Hardware Design and FPGA development in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Required Skills: โ€ข Prepares functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions โ€ข Assists with tracking of assets both pre- and post-deployment โ€ข Assists with preparing installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides โ€ข Recommends specifications for hardware acquisitions โ€ข Prepares engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages โ€ข Develops hardware installation schedules based on set-up, integration, and test timelines โ€ข Prepares site installation and test reports โ€ข Configures computers, communications devices, and peripheral equipment โ€ข Trains site personnel in proper use of hardware โ€ข Organizes and directs hardware installations across multiple sites โ€ข Analyzes and recommends hardware specifications for project-unique or modified commercial hardware โ€ข Supports specialized hardware design activities, including FPGA/VHDL development
