Summary:
The Insurance and Senior Services Coordinator has dual responsibilities for Franciscan Insurance Services and the Senior Promise Program. As a licensed insurance agent, this role provides education, support, and delivery of Insurance services, including enrollment into senior-related insurance products.

The Senior Promise program provides resources and education to older adults within our community. This position works with Franciscan staff, local businesses, and Senior Promise members to provide impactful programs. The Coordinator monitors operational processes and works with departmental managers to ensure the effective delivery of benefits and programs.
Essential Functions:

Sales

Enrolls clients into senior-related, individual insurance policies, including Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, prescription drug plans, life, hospital indemnity, and dental.

CRM Database

Maintains agency management database and membership database for insurance clients and Senior Promise members.

Client Support

Offers support and resolves customer questions and concerns. This position communicates with the department manager and other departments to resolve issues ensuring the successful control of delivery and quality of program benefits and services.

Event Planning

Plans and develop various Senior Promise programs. Works with internal and external vendors to coordinate various social and educational events.

Customer/Membership Support

Serves Senior Promise by phone, electronically, or in person in order to answers inquiries.
Liaison and Building networks

Connects with local businesses to increase Franciscan Health visibility and discuss partnership opportunities in order to increase the value of the benefit offerings within the Senior Promise Program.

Data Management

Provides assistance with statistical data and reports related to program operations for both Senior Promise and Insurance Services to department Managers.

Training and Education

Presents Medicare educational presentations across Franciscan facilities and the communities served by Franciscan Health.

Process Improvement

Confers with appropriate Department Managers to suggest process improvements in order to maintain peak productivity, and to streamline methods and operations.

Quality Assurance

Monitors and assesses operational processes to ensure quality standards are met and the effective delivery of benefits.

Hours: M-F 7:30am-4pm. Must be able to float to Franciscan Health Mooresville 1-2x's per week.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required High School Diploma/GED
  • Required within 60 days of hire Life and Health Insurance License
  • Preferred AHIP Certification Requirements
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred 5 years Customer service, medical billing, collections and Medicare insurance counseling
