Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Tradeshow Manager to join our Communications and Spectrum Dominance (CSD) Tradeshow and Events team. The position is structured under the Business Development (BD) Operations Department and plays the role of linking the segment's BD teams, marketing and communications (MarCom), and other internal and external functions in order to support the planning and implementation of domestic and international events that highlight the segment's innovative solutions across a wide ranging portfolio.

A successful candidate will be responsible for creating a detailed blueprint for medium to large trade shows, from concept to breakdown. The function demands meticulous organization and time management skills. The ability to balance communicated business objectives against investment resources and time to ensure a smooth event that meets financial and engagement goals is paramount.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with BD, MarCom, Senior Leaders, Product Teams, etc., to create compelling environments, product demos, and memorable experiences targeted to specific markets.
  • Create and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure all milestones and financial targets are met.
  • Ensure show participation is aligned with strategic marketing and segment BD goals.
  • Work with creative teams to design and produce engaging booth experiences, signage, and marketing collateral such as e-vites and sponsorship deliverables.
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for company participation including booth/attendee registration, shipping, setup/dismantling schedules, and staff scheduling as needed.
  • Manage the internal attendee experience from pre-registration through post-event follow-up, ensuring engaging and high-quality interactions with our team.
  • Source and manage relationships with suppliers, overseeing booth design, construction, and event services to ensure a professional and impactful presentation.
  • Present plans effectively to internal and external stakeholders, gather feedback, and deliver ongoing status reports.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, prioritizing cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards in branding and attendee engagement while reconciling expenses post-event.
  • Collect attendee feedback, leads, and performance data to assess the effectiveness and ROI of event participation.
  • Gather detailed post-event BD reports, providing insights on successes and recommended improvements for future events.
  • Provide leadership and on-site management during setup, event days, and teardown to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Train and prepare on-site staff to ensure they effectively represent the company and communicate our core messaging.

Willing and able to work and/or attend virtual meetings occasionally outside of local standard business hours, depending on work location.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%-30% of the year depending on need, some weekends, and internationally at times.
  • Move up to 30 lbs. if needed, such as when boxes of collateral and/or supplies need to ship to/from show site.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with 6 years prior event management experience, Graduate Degree with 4 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Corporate event and/or trade show experience in the communications or defense/government sectors.
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation is a plus.
  • Experience with event management platforms and expense reporting software.
  • A passion for the latest trends in trade show and event management.
  • Knowledge of customer engagement strategies to promote new product releases.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, thesalary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is$76,500- $141,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
