Job description

Experiential Graphic Designer โ€“ Live Events

WEBB Production is a leading event production company known for handling large-scale events (live, virtual, and hybrid) across the United States and occasionally internationally. We collaborate closely with our clients to conceptualize, design, produce, build, staff, operate, and manage all aspects of their events. Here is a highlight reel of our work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eNKHkmgMXU

WHAT YOUโ€™LL DO

The Experiential Graphic Designer is a creative role that combines graphic design with spatial and environmental design to create immersive experiences. At WEBB, we are firm believers in practice as play, where our collaborative efforts allow us to push boundaries. We dream big, and weโ€™re looking for a fellow dreamer to join us in creating unforgettable experiences.

This role is for visual storytellers who love to engage and inspire attendees in a physical space. Whether itโ€™s a branded environment, expo hall, over-the-top party, or wayfinding system, you will seamlessly blend graphics with architecture and fabrication to influence how people interact with their surroundings.

This is not a traditional brand, digital, or UX/UI design role. The work is designed for the physical world and must hold up from concept through production and installation. You will create visually engaging environments that strengthen brand identity and shape how attendees experience a space.

This position requires a blend of graphic design, 3D design, and spatial awareness, along with an understanding of materials, fabrication, large-format production, and installation. You will collaborate with producers, technical directors, clients, installers, and fabricators from our in-house shop to create compelling designs that work within venue, schedule, budget, and production constraints.

QUALIFICATIONS Who you are
  • You have three or more years of professional experience in environmental, experiential, exhibition, event, retail, wayfinding, or other spatial graphic design.
  • You have a strong portfolio featuring environmental experiences, wayfinding systems, branded environments, or other relevant spatial design work.
  • Experience designing for large-scale live events, exhibits, brand activations, or temporary branded environments is strongly preferred.
  • You hold a bachelorโ€™s degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Exhibit Design, or a related field.
  • You are highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
  • You have experience using 3D modeling and rendering software.
  • You have a strong understanding of color theory, typography, visual composition, scale, and spatial relationships.
  • You have strong project-management and organizational skills and can manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • You work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
  • You understand materials and fabrication processes used in environmental graphics.
  • You can accurately interpret dimensions, drawings, floor plans, brand standards, and production specifications.
Key responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and design engaging environmental graphics and scenic builds for product experiences, brand activations, hallway and wayfinding elements, celebration events, staging, and other event spaces.
  • Develop wayfinding strategies and systems that guide attendees effectively through complex environments.
  • Collaborate with producers, technical directors, fabricators, installers, and other stakeholders to ensure design elements align with project requirements and venue constraints.
  • Create detailed design documentation and specifications for production and installation.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and working within established budgets.
  • Conduct site visits and provide design oversight during installation to help ensure the completed environment reflects the approved design intent.
  • Communicate design concepts through sketches, mockups, renderings, and presentations to clients and internal team members.
  • Work closely with fabricators and installers to translate design concepts into physical installations.
  • Ensure designs adhere to client requirements and established brand standards.
  • Stay current on relevant design trends, materials, fabrication methods, and technologies.
WHY YOUโ€™LL LOVE WORKING AT WEBB

At WEBB, we do great things. We create. We execute. We love our work and take pride in producing memorable experiences for our clients and their audiences. If youโ€™re excited by the opportunity to turn creative ideas into physical environments, weโ€™d love to hear from you.
