Position Title: Senior Electronics Engineer, ISR
Location: Portland, OR
Work Arrangement: On-site
Position Summary:
DZYNE has an immediate need for a talented Senior Electronics Engineer who will serve as a technical owner and hands-on contributor across the full lifecycle of DZYNE's aircraft and launcher electrical systems. In this role, the engineer will perform circuit and subsystem design, system integration, troubleshooting, harness design, avionics/electronic system testing, and data analysis. This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager, while working directly with Vehicle Technical Leads and Program Managers.
Required Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead full PCB design cycle involving requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, functional verification, and performance tests
  • Design, develop, integrate, and debug avionics systems/subsystems
  • Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses connecting systems within the air vehicle
  • Support design updates driven by product improvements, obsolescence, and evolving requirements
  • Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
  • Work closely with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to support new product development and active deployments in a fast-paced environment
  • Mentor other engineers and promote sound engineering practices

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrated capability in complex circuit board design, bring-up, signal/power integrity analysis, and validation
  • Proven experience in designing electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, documentation, system level integration and troubleshooting
  • In-depth understanding of Analog/Mixed-signal, Digital, or RF circuit components
  • Detailed working knowledge of common test equipment, and CAD tools such as Altium
  • Excellent problem solving and planning skills
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience in designing electronics for robotic and/or aircraft systems
  • Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, common serial interfaces, high speed communication, and firmware/software integration
  • UAV experience highly desirable
  • Experience working in small to medium sized teams in a fast-paced R&D environment
  • Familiarity with MIL-spec hardware and harnessing
  • No Security Clearance is required, but it is highly desired

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 annually
Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
