About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Director to lead market strategy and innovation within our Auto Vertical, with a focus on underwriting and policy experience. This role will define how insurers leverage AI, data, and workflow transformation to evolve underwriting practices and customer experiences in personal lines auto insurance.
You will shape market positioning, drive the innovation agenda, identify commercial partnerships and establish thought leadership across a rapidly changing ecosystem-working at the intersection of underwriting, technology, and data innovation.
Preferred candidate will be hybrid in Alpharetta, GA
Responsibilities
Lead Market Strategy & Positioning
  • Define and execute the market strategy for Auto Underwriting and Policy Experience
  • Shape positioning around AI-driven underwriting transformation and emerging data ecosystems
  • Understand industry trends, regulatory dynamics, and anticipate competitive shifts

Drive Innovation
  • Lead development of next-generation underwriting and policy experience solutions
  • Translate customer needs and market insights into product roadmaps and growth opportunities
  • Partner with product, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver differentiated offerings

Deliver Execution at Scale
  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in a highly matrixed environment
  • Drive execution via leadership and accountability
  • Ensure delivery of measurable outcomes (delivery milestones, market readiness, adoption, market impact)

Engage Customers & Influence the Market
  • Build relationships with senior leaders at auto insurers
  • Lead Voice of Customer efforts to inform strategy and product direction
  • Act as a trusted advisor on underwriting transformation and AI adoption

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in personal lines auto insurance
  • Leadership experience in underwriting, product development, strategy or innovation
  • Deep knowledge of auto underwriting workflows and policy lifecycle
  • Critical thinker who enjoys solving complex problems
  • Highly analytical, understands the technical side of auto insurance and leads problem solving from a data-driven basis
  • Proven track record developing and executing market or product strategies
  • Experience for achieving successful outcomes in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Ability to travel 10-20%

Preferred
  • Experience with AI/ML in underwriting, pricing, or workflow automation
  • Familiarity with external data ecosystems (3rd party data and vendors)
