Position Description
The Senior Coordinator, Coaching Education, is responsible for leading the operational delivery and continuous improvement of specific programming initiatives of U.S. Soccer's Coaching Education Department. This role supports the design, execution, and evaluation of professional development opportunities for coaches and educators across all license levels.
While primarily operational, this position requires strong strategic awareness, cross-functional coordination, and a working knowledge of coaching education. The Senior Coordinator will serve as a key connector between technical leadership, operations, and external stakeholders to ensure offerings are relevant, scalable, and aligned with U.S. Soccer's broader coaching education objectives.
This role requires a highly organized, proactive individual who can manage multiple workstreams, drive projects forward, and contribute to enhancing the overall learning experience for members.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of educational events, courses, and learning experiences (virtual, in-person, and blended)
  • Support the development and evolution of educational programming, including new formats, content delivery methods, and engagement strategies
  • Partner with technical leadership to align offerings with coaching competencies and long-term development goals
  • Support and mentor peers in executing tasks and projects
  • Responsible for overseeing key department operations
  • Create and maintain positive working relationships with U.S. Soccer members by providing training, support, and service
  • Provide customer service support to coaches, educators, and administrators
  • Plan and execute educational activities
  • Maintain course curricula and educational resources
  • Support the department's digital assets
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
  • Strong familiarity with U.S. Soccer programming; comprehension of Coach Education is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in program coordination, operations, or sports/education environments
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Soccer Coaching Education structure
  • Must have a passion for the sport
  • Strong interpersonal, consensus-building skills, with the ability to communicate and achieve results across multiple audiences in a complex organizational structure
  • Adept at building presentations to communicate ideas, e.g. Keynote, PowerPoint, InDesign
  • Outstanding organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Dedication to the highest level of standards and excellence
  • Able to work independently
  • Proficient knowledge of Spanish-language skills is a plus
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
  • Must be able to connect "micro" details to the "macro" vision and mission
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe programs
  • Weekend and holiday work required at times
  • Some travel may be required
