Title: Senior Coordinator, Social Work Services
Manages and directs social work services, overseeing programs for student and family support, and engaging with stakeholders to address issues as they arise. Manages a team of specialists and staff, ensuring that operations run
smoothly and that resources are used effectively. Participates in the development of policies and procedures and in the management of the departmental budget.
Essential Job Duties
• Provides technical expertise to the department, working on issues that require in-depth knowledge of the functional area.
• Supervises the school's social workers in their provision of social work services to students, ensuring high-quality support and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborates with educational staff on the development and implementation of student support plans, and provides technical expertise as needed.
• Evaluates the performance of assigned staff, offering feedback and guidance to foster professional growth and improves service delivery.
• Maintains accurate records and reports related to social work activities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Monitors case documentation for quality assurance purposes, verifying that all records meet required standards and guidelines.
• Provides in-depth knowledge of functional areas within the school's social work services, addressing complex issues that may arise.
• Manages problems that are not clearly defined by developing innovative solutions in collaboration with other professionals or stakeholders.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Masters' degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from a Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university
required.
• Minimum five (5) years of managerial/administrative level or school-based closely related experience in the field of social work, counseling, or closely related area
required.
• Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in educational leadership at level L-5, NL-5, PL-6, or above
required. If a level L-5, NL-5, PL-6, or above certificate is not held, the individual must be
eligible for the NPL certificate in educational leadership.
