JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a highly analytical, business-minded leader to join Fox One's Content organization as Director, Content Strategy and Planning. This individual will be responsible for delivering actionable insights and strategic guidance to inform content programming, merchandising, acquisitions, and Originals development decisions. They will work alongside internal Fox Business units to elevate, amplify and explore business models for Fox content on Fox One, while also identifying content opportunities outside of Fox.
As a key partner to Fox One's Analytics, Partnerships, Marketing, Merchandising and Operations teams this leader will work alongside the department SVP to drive content decisions for Fox One.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Los Angeles office.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with Analytics to ensure data application to content planning, ensuring that content investment decisions are grounded in rigorous analysis and aligned with company growth goals.
  • Develop and deliver regular content and portfolio performance reporting (e.g., Weekly Business Review), translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations through data-backed storytelling that highlights key findings and business impact.
  • Use internal data and third-party research to uncover audience behavior, content demand, and competitive trends, providing actionable insights that inform content planning, investment strategy, and content greenlighting decisions.
  • Collaborate with Fox Business units to amplify existing Fox content, explore opportunities for development of additional content for Fox One
  • Identify opportunities with external content partners and creators for potential content for Fox One.
  • Represent the Content organization in cross-functional planning forums, advocating for content priorities and surfacing opportunities for strategic collaboration.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • 10+ years of experience in content acquisitions, content analytics, business intelligence, or strategic insights within a streaming or digital media environment.
  • Proven success translating complex data into actionable recommendations for creative and strategic stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the streaming landscape, including content acquisition, and viewer behavior patterns.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of sports league rights and dynamics. Experience working with content providers to develop and/or bring content to platforms.
  • Experience working with BI tools
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace a minimum of 3 days per week is an essential function of the position. Selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $143,000.00-208,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
