You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead development of holistic, insight-driven content strategies for B2C/B2B audiences across the Optum Rx portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, brand positioning, and product narratives
  • Partner closely with the VP of Content Strategy to translate business goals into unified content roadmaps, messaging frameworks, and multi-channel content architectures that scale across markets and audiences
  • Collaborate with audience and product marketing, campaign teams, sales, and analytics teams to understand audience needs, competitive dynamics, and business objectives, turning these inputs into actionable content plans and channel strategies
  • Serve as the strategic integrator across content channels (digital/social, direct marketing, thought leadership, events/executive engagement), ensuring consistency, cohesion, and channel-appropriate expression of narratives
  • Drive content planning and prioritization across campaigns, programs, and evergreen initiatives, partnering with PMO to ensure realistic scopes, timelines, and resource alignment
  • Provide strategic guidance to content channel leads and strategists, ensuring content is optimized for channel performance, personalization, accessibility, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities for AI-enabled content innovation (e.g., structured content, dynamic modules, metadata, automation) to improve speed, reuse, and personalization across the B2B/B2C ecosystem
  • Lead content performance evaluation, partnering with analytics to define KPIs, interpret insights, and translate performance data into clear recommendations for optimization and future planning
  • Ensure all B2B/B2C content meets brand, compliance, and quality standards, serving as a senior steward of message integrity, consistency, and enterprise governance

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in content strategy, B2B/B2C marketing, product marketing, or related disciplines within complex or regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services, tech)
  • Experience with content governance, structured content models, metadata/taxonomy, version control, and content reuse frameworks
  • Deep understanding of channel strategy (digital/social, direct marketing, thought leadership, events) and how content performs and scales across different environments
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled content workflows, including content generation, outlines, personalization modules, and compliance-safe review processes
  • Proven expertise developing cross-channel content strategies, messaging frameworks, and value propositions for B2C, B2B buyers, influencers, and provider audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives, product strategy, and audience insights into clear, actionable content roadmaps and multi-channel content plans
  • Proven solid collaborator with experience partnering across functions and matrixed teams to drive alignment and execution
  • Proven solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data, extract insights, and turn findings into recommendations for content optimization and strategic planning
  • Proven exceptional communication, storytelling, and executive-ready presentation skills with the ability to simplify complexity and influence senior stakeholders

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
