About the role

We are looking for a experienced and strategic Contingent Workforce leader to oversee and advance Crunchyroll's global contingent workforce program as we scale.

As Global Contingent Workforce Program Senior Manager, you will own the execution and ongoing evolution of the program, ensuring it is scalable, compliant, and aligned to broader workforce and business strategies. You will operate at the intersection of Talent Acquisition, People Experience, Finance, Legal, and Procurement, and requires strong judgment in navigating workforce models, vendor ecosystems, and regulatory considerations.

You will be a senior subject matter expert, advising stakeholders on how to effectively leverage contingent talent, while driving operational excellence across the lifecycle. We are looking for a balance of hands-on program ownership, analytical rigor, and the ability to influence decision-making in a complex, global environment.

Core Areas of Responsibility:Program Ownership & Optimization
  • Own and evolve Crunchyroll's contingent workforce program, ensuring alignment to business needs and global scale
  • Drive operational excellence across the full lifecycle, including intake, onboarding, extensions, conversions, and offboarding
  • Establish and enforce program standards, governance, and best practices across all contingent workforce activity
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, consistency, and stakeholder experience
Strategic Workforce Advisory
  • Work with People Business Partners and business leaders to support contingent workforce planning aligned to business priorities
  • Advise on workforce strategy, including when to leverage contingent vs full-time talent
  • Provide guidance on engagement models (e.g., contractor, SOW, vendor-based) balancing flexibility, cost, and compliance
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure integration between contingent and full-time hiring strategies
Vendor Strategy & Partnership
  • Own relationships with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), staffing agencies, and external suppliers
  • Define vendor strategy, performance metrics, and SLAs to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and scalability
  • Hold vendors accountable for performance, delivery, and adherence to program standards
  • Drive adoption of approved vendors and engagement models across the organization
Compliance, Risk & Governance
  • Ensure contingent workforce practices align with global employment laws, classification standards, and internal policies
  • Partner with Legal and Procurement to proactively mitigate risk related to co-employment, misclassification, and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain governance, documentation, and audit readiness across all contingent workforce activities
  • Educate stakeholders on appropriate use of contingent labor and distinctions from full-time employment
Data, Reporting & Market Insights
  • Leverage workforce analytics to monitor spend, utilization, vendor performance, and program effectiveness
  • Develop and deliver reporting and dashboards that inform business decisions and workforce strategy
  • Maintain centralized visibility into contingent workforce data (headcount, tenure, cost, performance)
  • Stay informed on market trends, rate benchmarks, and regulatory changes to inform program evolution
Process, Systems & Scalability
  • Optimize contingent workforce systems and tools (e.g., VMS, ATS, HRIS integrations)
  • Drive automation and system enhancements to improve scalability and reduce manual effort
  • Develop and maintain playbooks, documentation, and enablement resources to ensure consistency
  • Partner with TA Operations to align contingent workforce processes with broader TA infrastructure

In the role of Global Contingent Workforce Program Senior Manager, you will report to the Director, Global TA Operations and Infrastructure.

  • You are highly analytical and comfortable leveraging workforce data to drive insights and decision-making
  • You possess strong business acumen and can balance competing priorities across cost, speed, compliance, and experience
  • You are skilled at influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority
  • You operate effectively in complex, ambiguous environments, with the ability to bring structure and clarity
  • You demonstrate a high level of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to operational excellence
