Role Purpose
The Senior Marketing Manager at SECU will be an integral part of our growing marketing
team and will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing campaigns.
This position will work with leadership and business owners to promote our brand across marketing channels and educate members on the products, services and financial education resources that will help them be successful in their financial journey.
This role will be essential in identifying and targeting SECU members and working with creative teams to provide consistent and cohesive messaging in digital and traditional marketing channels. Additionally, this position will provide guidance to, and potentially management of Marketing Managers or Specialists in their support of the execution of marketing campaigns.
To be successful, candidates must be strategic thought leaders and have a strong project management background with experience leading high-level marketing campaigns. They must be able to set strategic direction and identify clear objectives while understanding the marketing needs of their assigned business units. The Senior Marketing Manager will work to manage content, collateral, and programs to grow awareness and consideration, educate our members, and drive successful marketing campaigns for a variety of business units throughout the credit union.
Responsibilities
• Strategy and Execution (70%)
o Responsible for building member insight-driven marketing strategies and
campaigns for different lines of business.
o Ideate and execute account-based multi-touch campaigns that include
executive engagement, thought leadership, direct mail, events, digital and
member experiences, etc.
o Build quarterly and annual marketing plans, manage budgets, and
execute on those plans in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
o Oversee all aspects of projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and
monitor and summarize progress of project, including the management of
the creative process with internal and external agencies, and provide
feedback based on brand standards.
• Collaborate with Business Units (25%)
o Interact with internal departments and external partners to determine
strategy, develop content, and execute result-oriented tactics that positively
impact revenue, relationships, and reputation.
o Lead ongoing account check-ins with business owners, marketing managers,
specialists, and creative teams to ensure goals and project plans remain on
track, and discuss requirements and modifications as needed.
• Measure, Analyze and Share Performance (5%)
o Create campaign KPIs aligned with member objectives, project plans and
marketing goals.
o Collaborate with digital and business owners to develop metrics including
indicators of campaign effectiveness, lead generation, and ROI.
o Own reporting and analysis to ensure campaigns and projects perform
against goals and are optimized.
o Provide ongoing data and insights on multi-touch campaigns, and a wrap
report outlining objectives, KPIs, content utilized and overall performance at
the close of each campaign.
Requirements
• 5 years marketing and/or communication experience
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business administration
• Strong project management experience leading the development of content
by cross-functional teams
• Extensive experience with marketing project management software (ex: Jira,
Workfront, Asana, Monday.com)
• In-depth understanding of and experience managing marketing strategies,
channels, and operations
• Must have excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, analytical and
problem-solving skills
• Well-organized and detail oriented
Preferred Requirements
• 6 - 10 years of marketing and/or communication experience
• Financial industry experience
