Job description

Adecco is assisting in the recruitment of a Buyer in Añasco, Puerto Rico. This is a temporary position and will be responsible for sourcing spot-buy purchases and replenishing inventory items within a production supply storeroom located on-site.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Previous sourcing/purchasing experience.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, including overtime if necesarry.
  • Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of materials, products, and commodity markets.
  • Previous sourcing/purchasing experience.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze technical specifications and bids.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work flexibly.
  • Basic MS Office computer skills.
  • No certifications or licenses required.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and respond to customer needs.
  • Identify and select vendors based on price, quantity, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Place and manage purchase orders for requested commodities.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and initiatives.
  • Resolve purchasing issues and discrepancies with vendors.
  • Work in a storeroom/warehouse environment and comply with all applicable OSHA and PPE requirements.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Work is performed in a storeroom/warehouse environment, which may include confined spaces, high-voltage equipment, hazardous materials, and work at heights above 25 feet.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally up to 25 lbs.
  • May be required to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, and handle materials as needed.
  • Must meet company and OSHA requirements for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Salary: $20 p/h

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
