Job description

Overview
Assists the Applications Coordinator or Manager in the coordination of activities and resources for all hospital financial or clinical applications.
Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical support for information systems for Laboratory, Point-Of-Care and Radiation Oncology
  2. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all hospital clinical applications.
  3. Assists in the coordination of design, development, build, testing, implementation, training, upgrades, support, and overall system management of all clinical applications.
  4. Acts as a Project Manager for the implementation of new Systems.
  5. Maintain an issues work list and conduct regular and thorough follow-up with interested parties.
  6. Provide primary support and maintenance for core financial or clinical systems as determined by the Applications Coordinator or Manager.
  7. Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury-accident to the Director.
  8. Working knowledge of Financial applications

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
1. B.S. Degree in Nursing, Business, Systems, or related field or Five (5) years healthcare financial or clinical experience
2. Two (2) years healthcare financial, clinical systems, or training experience (with B.S. Degree)
3. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
4. Understanding Laboratory, Point-of-Care and Radiation Oncology operations and workflows
5. Knowledge of MOSAIQ and other Oncology applications highly preferred
6. Familiar with Cerner Pathnet, POC Middleware (Telcor QML, Aqure) Mosaic, Aria software applications7
7. Lead projects to include upgrades, onboarding of new applications and EMR integration
8. . Understanding of data flows and associated technologies, ie. HL7, API, AI10. Knowledge of application servers, including topology and system architect
