FP&A Manager, Ag Services and Oilseeds - Chicago or Decatur, IL
Position Summary
The Ag Services and Oilseeds FP&A Manager partners with the Commercial, Operations, the respective Finance Director and Corporate service functions to establish and execute on short, medium and long term strategic financial plans of the company and its alignment with the global corporate strategy. This includes the annual strategic business plan, financial planning cycle, monthly financial forecasting, and tracking of key initiatives, and/or analytical support of financial results. This position coordinates with the Corporate FP&A group and the Centers of Excellence to align reporting across the company. This position also works closely to the Finance Director of the business to coordinate and support projects and key financial analysis.
The candidate will be hands on supporting the respective business in accomplishing their strategic financial and business objectives. This position will be responsible for coordinating planning/forecasting and tracking business objectives by providing business intelligence and insightful information to monitor financial strategy. Key success factors for this role include teamwork, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to quickly adapt to changing business and project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner across the finance organization with a focus on driving actions that improve the business performance
  • Coordinate and prepare weekly the Global and Regional Margin Tracking reports and analysis providing insightful information to global and regional commercial and finance leaders
  • Partner with the Cash Flow Transformation group assisting with cashflow analysis and optimization working closely with the business stakeholders to provide insights, recommendations, and support with process improvements
  • Coordinate and prepare monthly the Financial and Commercial Scorecard for the senior leadership
  • Partner with the business leaders to support, educate, develop, and track performance metrics
  • Lead transformation, automation, and digitalization initiatives focusing on data quality and process improvement
  • Prepare external and internal presentations for business as needed
  • Lead special projects to carry out corporate and business unit initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years in financial role, business development, or accounting role
  • Experience with Ag commodities and derivatives businesses
  • Demonstrated capacity to handle diverse number of projects simultaneously
  • Strong ability to collaborate with a multi-cultural and cross-functional team
  • Independent, inquisitive and a self-starter
  • Strong MS Office skills (i.e. Power Point and Excel)
  • Understanding of business intelligence tools
