JOB SUMMARY
As a CAS Senior Manager, you will have a leadership role in overseeing client accounting operations and managing a team of accounting professionals. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial services to clients, maintaining client relationships, and driving process improvements. Your extensive accounting knowledge, managerial skills, and client-focused approach will contribute to the success of our client accounting department.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Client Accounting Support:
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, reconciliations, and adjustments
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements prepared by the team
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and provide insights and recommendations to clients and management
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or expanding services and escalating to the appropriate business advisors

Client Communication and Support:
  • Serve as the main point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships based on trust and exceptional service
  • Understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and requirements, and provide strategic financial advice and solutions
  • Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  • Communicate financial information, insights, and recommendations to clients, management, and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or expanding services and escalating to the appropriate business advisors

Team Management:
  • Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Oversee and lead a team of managers, providing guidance, support, and strategic direction to ensure effective performance and achievement of departmental goal
  • Set performance goals, provide ongoing feedback and coaching, and conduct regular performance evaluations
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting professional growth and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, and audit, to ensure effective coordination and delivery of client accounting services

Process Improvement and Compliance:
  • Continuously evaluate and improve client accounting processes, systems, and controls to drive efficiency and accuracy
  • Implement best practices and streamline workflows to optimize productivity and quality of deliverables
  • Stay updated with accounting regulations and industry trends, implementing changes as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and client-specific requirements
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and addressing audit findings
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard client assets and ensure data integrity
  • Responsible for billing clients, accounts receivable, maintaining departmental budgets, financial performance, and gross profit target
  • Maintain and drive the achievement of department goals, aligning with the company's strategic vision and ensuring successful outcomes for projects and client engagements
  • Efficiently manage regional initiatives and responsibilities, ensuring seamless coordination and successful execution of projects within the designated geographic area

Required education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business
  • 10+ years of relevant Accounting/Finance and management/supervisory experience in public accounting, professional services, corporate or private industry
  • Thorough understanding of advanced accounting principles

Preferred education and experience
  • Advanced degree/MBA
  • CPA license or relevant certification
  • Supervisory experience, large staff
  • Experience with Sage Intacct, Bill.com, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, NetSuite
