Job description

About Woven

Woven Solutions is a high-growth, PE-backed government contracting platform serving the defense and intelligence community. We have grown rapidly through acquisition and organic execution, and we are building a Finance and Accounting organization that can scale with us. This is a company in motion: significant M&A activity, complex GovCon compliance requirements, and a leadership team that's investing seriously in Finance as a strategic function, not a back-office one.

About the Role

This is a builder role, not a maintainer role. We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager who will own the monthly close, strengthen our control environment, and use AI and automation to make Finance faster, more accurate, and more scalable—not just execute the process as it exists today.

You will work closely with our CFO and finance leadership team in a business where the accounting is genuinely complex: multiple acquired entities integrating onto a common platform, CAS/DCAA-compliant cost accounting, indirect rate structures, and a monthly close that must tie to the penny. If you want to build the next generation of a Finance organization rather than just run the one that's already there, this is that opportunity.

What You Will Do

  • Own the monthly and year-end close process end-to-end, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP
  • Strengthen and formalize internal controls across the close cycle, AP/AR, payroll integration, and bank reconciliations/treasury consolidation as the company scales post-acquisition
  • Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities to reduce manual close effort, improve reconciliation accuracy, and accelerate reporting timelines
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple integrated entities, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation
  • Partner with FP&A on close-to-forecast handoffs, variance analysis, and board/lender reporting support
  • Support the annual audit process, including PBC schedules, auditor requests, and technical accounting memos
  • Maintain and improve GovCon-specific accounting processes—indirect rate pools, cost allowability, subcontractor accruals, and CAS/DCAA-aligned recordkeeping
  • Serve as a key Unanet system owner/power user, driving process improvements and data integrity across project accounting

What You Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Active CPA license
  • 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful GAAP depth
  • Demonstrated ownership of a monthly close process, ideally in a multi-entity or post-acquisition environment
  • Strong reconciliation discipline and comfort working in a “ties to the penny” environment
  • Based in the Northern Virginia area, able to work hybrid 2–3 days/week in our McLean-Reston office
  • A builder mindset—genuine interest in improving process and using automation/AI tools, not just executing the process as-is

Strongly Preferred:

  • Unanet experience, including project accounting and GovCon-specific configuration
  • GovCon industry accounting experience, including familiarity with CAS, FAR/DFARS cost principles, indirect rate structures, and DCAA audit readiness
  • Experience in a PE-backed or PE-portfolio-company environment
  • Public accounting background, such as Big 4 or national/regional firm experience

Why Woven

High growth. Meaningful M&A. Complex GovCon. A leadership team investing in Finance. And a real opportunity to make an impact.

If you know GovCon accounting and want to help build the next generation of our Finance organization, let's talk.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $130,000 - $160,000 commensurate with

experience. Woven offers a highly competitive benefits package, including health/dental/vision

insurance, disability and life insurance, an employer sponsored 401(k) contribution and Paid Time

Off.
