Job description

Description

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for conducting testing and monitoring all test results on all bin, bagged, and inbound bulk seed samples. They are also the common link between Remington Seeds, LLC and our Customers pertaining to seed quality. The QA Supervisor works very closely with the Location Manager and Field Operations Manager to ensure that all samples have been received and tested. Other responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Operates truck scale, probes all inbound bulk seed loads and determines seed quality
  • Processes bulk seed samples to determine seed quality
  • Records all quality data and lot status' in RIC
  • Visually inspect all finished seed lots to ensure acceptable seed appearance
  • Processes and submits samples for quality lab analysis
  • Works with warehouse employees to collect samples for additional testing as needed
  • Monitors finished crop quality results and initiates actions with location managers when problems are noted
  • Updates all Bulk and Bagged Lot status' in RIC
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System
  • Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Biology, Agronomy, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality assurance, agriculture, lab testing, or warehouse operations
  • Working knowledge of quality control practices and willingness to apply standards 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately record, track, and interpret data in systems like RIC or similar software
  • Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and manage multiple priorities
